Michael Malloy is an associate with the firm of Skelton, Taintor & Abbott in Auburn, Maine. He has a diverse practice that includes the areas of:

Michael is committed to helping local institutions solve problems and achieve their goals efficiently and economically. The son of a small business owner, he appreciates the risks and sacrifices that entrepreneurs face.  As someone who chose to raise his family and practice law in Maine, he believes in the future of Maine enterprise.  Michael serves on the Board of Directors of the Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce, and also sits on the Central Maine Healthcare Development Committee.

Building on his previous professional experience, Michael has established the first immigration law practice in the Lewiston/Auburn area. He provides counsel and representation to individuals and employers seeking temporary and permanent benefits under United States immigration law, including work visas, green cards, political asylum and citizenship. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and he serves as a pro bono panelist for the Immigrant Legal Advocacy Project in Portland, Maine.

For institutional clients, such as businesses, municipalities and healthcare providers, Michael provides a wide range of services, including defending clients in wrongful termination, discrimination and breach of contract lawsuits in state and federal courts. He also represents clients in construction, racketeering (RICO) and contract litigation.

Michael is admitted to practice before all state courts in Maine and Massachusetts as well as the U.S. District Court for the District of Maine. He is a member of the Maine State Bar Association and the Androscoggin County Bar Association.

Born in Natick, Massachusetts, Michael received his undergraduate degree from Middlebury College in Vermont. A double major in French and International Politics & Economics, he also studied at the Université de Paris III (Sorbonne Nouvelle) and the Institut Catholique in Paris, France, while serving as a foreign policy analyst for a French think tank. He earned his law degree, cum laude, from Suffolk University in Boston.
